We have recently coordinated & completed a large volume home office installation project which entailed the relocation of over 1000 existing computer monitors to staff of Birmingham City Council and Birmingham Children's Trust working from home.
Birmingham City Council Monitor Deployment
Despite a huge effort by BCC & BCT to rapidly facilitate staff with laptops and other mobile devices to enable business to continue remotely during the Covid-19 pandemic. Further measures were taken to improve working conditions and the health and wellbeing of staff working full time on portable devices at home.
Working closely with the asset management team & the IT&D department, an appointment based programme was devised to deploy monitors, stands, cabling & accessories for collection or delivery to facilitate staff with crucial DSE whilst maintaining a safe and social distance.
By enabling the staff to work more comfortably with the correct equipment, the day to day function of the council workforce and some vital social services has been enabled to continue during the most challenging of times for all.
With almost 1000 monitors & stands deployed along with some incredible feedback, we believe the whole programme has been a success for both the organisation & individual.
